All air plants bloom once. After they bloom, they will start making pups (aka: baby air plants). Air plants grow VERY slowly. The baby plant making process can take a few years. Since air plants take in what they need to survive through their foliage, they do a great job removing toxins from the air (consider that your permission to hoard all the air plants).
